Letter-writing may be one of the most genuine, personal, and underrated forms of communication. There’s something about it’s tangibility (the choice of stationary, choice of ink, the person’s handwriting, etc) that makes it so real. It captures what’s on one’s mind so well because it’s not limited to the instantaneous, ASAP-driven restrictions of text messaging and im. Though it’s definitely not as face-to-face as having a real conversation in person or through skype or even the phone, there’s something nice about having a conversation preserved in a tangible form, a physical memory of sorts.

PS. If you would like to start some sort of snail mail correspondence, feel free to contact me! I’d be more than happy to catch up/continue to catch up with any of you especially since it’s summer and things are less hectic.

I miss friends, teachers, and even acquaintances who I do not know very well. Some of them are fellow 2012 graduates who are now scattered all over the country. Others are still in high school; people who I have formed friendships with through classes, extracurriculars, or just through random shared experiences. Regardless of how much closer I was to certain people, I think it’s safe to say that there are many people from high school who I miss.

The longer I am away from home, the more I don’t really feel like going back. Don’t know...
